Citizen TV’s JULIE GICHURU’s Father in Law may face JAIL TERM ….. Money laundering

Citizen TV’s Sunday live show host Julie Gichuru’s father in law who is the former Kenya Power C.E.O. Samuel Gichuru is facing an extradition case with immediate former Nambale Legislator Chris Okemo.
The two have been accused of money laundering of funds that were allocated to the Kenya Power and Lightning Company. Last week the duo had obtained orders to stop the Magistrate’s Court from dealing with the case because of unfair hearing.
The case has however been referred to the High Court and Justice Isaac Lenaola today extended the hearing to March 17 to allow the Director of Public Prosecution to react to protests raised by Gichuru and Okemo.
The two also opposed the Jersey Island extradition case arguing that the State had made a request to the Attorney General and not the DPP, which is defective since the powers of an AG cannot be handed over to the DPP.
Also in their queries of dissatisfaction was the fact that the case was experiencing delays which was a violation of their rights arguing that the judicial system of the State of Jersey is different from Kenya’s adding that if they laundered the money an immediate complaint should have come from KPLC and not Jersey.
