2013, The Year Of Impersonator Cops. Kenya Police Afrocinema Continues....

As levels of insecurity in country continue to heighten up as we gear up towards the much anticipated 2013 general election, in walks the imposter police officers who have grazed the news bulletins.
James Waiganjo has been in the police force for half a decade without being detected as a fake cop, a name that the media has gracefully nicknamed him without charge.
In all the high-end drama that surrounds the saga, one might think they are watching a B rated western movie with inexperienced actors who will never get a glimpse of the Oscars.

There’s an adage that says, Lie to me but don’t insult my intelligence. What the police force is doing is lying to Kenyans in broad daylight and expecting them to take their nifty, dirty lies as gospel truth.
They fail to tell us how Waiganjo could go undetected as a fake cop who would get his monthly remuneration, attend high security meetings and fire fellow police cops at will.
The madness that has enveloped the police force is all happening when we are at war with terrorism, cattle rustling and insecurity in general. The image of a blown over public service vehicle in Eastleigh is still ebbed at the back of our minds and we have had enough of cattle rustling news bulletins grazing our not so flat screen television sets.
If a form three student from Machakos can manage to impersonate an OCPD and manage to con some Members of Parliament off their easy earned money- all pun intended- for whatever reasons that the boy may have, then he might have noticed the loopholes that plague the police force.
We are done laughing about the impersonators and now we are more than afraid that the people we come across as police officers may not have gone to Kiganjo for training, at all.
The newly appointed Inspector General will not only have a hard time convincing Kenyans that his boys are trustworthy, but also prove to us that they can handle the pressure that comes with electioneering in Kenya as has been witnessed in the past.

28-year-old man RAPES MUM as DAD enjoys his SLEEP

A 28-year-old man appeared in the Acornhoek Magistrate Court for allegedly raping his mother. It is alleged that the suspect raped his mother who was sleeping in the family's sitting room on Thursday night at around 22:00 in South Africa.

"The victim was sleeping in the sitting room while her husband was enjoying his sleep in their bedroom. It is reported that the victim only noticed that it was her son who violated her, when he went out of the house through the window," said Acornhoek Police spokesperson Lieutenant Mpho Koli.

Koli said the suspect was remanded in investigations continue.

In another rape incident, a 30-year-old man was arrested and charged for the rape of his 16-year-old neighbour.

"It is alleged that the suspect took the victim from her home at midday to his home where he raped her several times before taking her back home at midnight," said Koli.

The suspect will appear in court soon.

Chelsea’s decision not to offer players over the age of 30-years new contracts could see them lose the likes of Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole to rival clubs in the Premier League.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to 34-year old midfield maestro Frank Lampard after he was told he will not be  given a new deal at Stamford Bridge once his contract runs out in the summer.

According to The Sun, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced the veteran midfielder, can still deliver at the highest level.

Fergie is a long-time admirer of the England international and is reported to have tried to sign him before he joined the Blues.

But it’s highly unlikely that a deal will be struck during the winter transfer window with the player determined to see out the remaining part of his Chelsea contract.

The Red Devils are reported to be willing to offer Lampard a one year deal in the summer with the promise of another depending on his performance.

Chelsea are keen to trim their £191m wage bill and Lampard who is at £150,000 a week and turning 35-years has been targeted for the chop despite still playing a key role at the club.

Lampard has also attracted interest from MLS in the US and the Chinese super League.

Ruto, Raila's brother booed in Kisii rally

The two were jeered after they made anti-Raila remarks.First to be heckled was Omondi whose speech was interrupted after he mentioned that he supports the Jubilee Alliance even though he is Raila’s brother.
Do not tell us about your family but why you are here. We are not interested in your background, the youth shouted.Omondi who is the last born son of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was forced to cut short his speech after the youth insisted that he hands over the microphone to Makadara MP Mike Sonko.
You should not attack your brother. Hand over the microphone to Mike Sonko, the youth said.Omondi gave the microphone to North Mugirango/ Borabu MP Wilfred Ombui who later invited Sonko to speak.
“You must learn to speak in public. You must at all times avoid mentioning the name of somebody who is not around,” a drunk youth shouted.
Ruto was booed when he said Raila will lose the presidential race.Ruto said numbers make the difference in elections and Jubilee has a larger following than Cord.
“Ushindi ni kwa kura nyingi ama chache? (The most number of votes determine the winner),” he told the crowd.Ruto irked the youth further when he said that Raila is fighting a lone battle because he was abandoned by his allies.
“He alone so I am wondering how is going to make it. We abandoned him because he was not reliable,” he added.On realising that the crowd was not pleased with the Raila talk, Ruto changed tactic and asked the youth to vote for Jubilee because it is made up of youthful leaders.
The jubilee team ended its two-day tour of Kisii and Nyamira on Monday, with its presidential aspirant Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto calling for peaceful elections.

UHURU cancels some rallies in KISII after a fierce REBELLION

  The Kenyan Daily Truth has learnt that Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has been forced to cancel some rallies in Kisii County after meeting a tough rebellion from Kisii County residents.

The DPM who is the Jubilee coalition’s flag bearer was forced to abandon his rally at Etago Market, Bomachoge Constituency after residents heckled him dismissing his coalition with Eldoret North MP William Ruto.

In what may have been a revenge for the 2007 embarrassment, the Kisii residents said that as long as Ruto was his running mate, he won’t get the Kisii votes.

The Tuesday rallies were poorly attended that Uhuru had to instruct choppers to do rounds to attract attention.
