RAILA the instant BILLIONAIRE, the KIKUYUS' fear and the MERU community voting for RAILA – MP delves

  Former Ntonyiri MP Maoka  Maore has said the entire Meru community will support Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Presidential bid instead of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta.

Maore who was a KANU stalwart during former President Moi’s regime said the community will vote for the PM as he is the only presidential aspirant who will ensure the clamour for reforms which started in 1992 is actualised.

Speaking to one of the local dailies on Sunday, Maore who is a close ally of President Mwai Kibaki said the likes of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are just opportunists who have been sent by power merchants to destroy the ongoing constitutional reforms.

“If you look at the clamour to stop Raila (from becoming president), it is not a clamour to stop Raila the individual but a clamour to stop Raila the messenger; to stop the message of hope, reform and development in the country,”Maoka said.

He said the PM has instituted a number of developments including the bypasses that have now taken shape in Nairobi and was instrumental in the demolition of the structures that had been put up on the path of the bypasses.

On why Raila became an instant billionaire, Maoka said that was a propaganda being perpetuated by anti-Raila elements.

“This is propaganda manufactured about Raila by some people in Mount Kenya and it will remain just that. Gradually the propaganda will isolate them as the rest of the country moves on,” he said.

He further said the only community that fears Raila is the Kikuyu because they do not believe in institutions.

He said the Kikuyu community was made to believe Raila is against them and their ambitious business interests will be jeopardised if Raila becomes the President which is a fallacy.

He expressed confidence on the Raila Presidency, saying Kenya will be liberated on March 5^th when Raila takes the driver’s seat of this country
