Unbelievable: NEW OPINION POLL PUTS UHURU KENYATTA AHEAD OF RAILA ODINGA...See for yourself...
NEW SYNOVATE poll shows Uhuru Kenyatta ratings surge to 44.8%, higher than Raila Odinga's 44.4%. Mudavadi 5.2%, Kenneth 1.6%, Karua 0.8%.
With just nine days to go to the March 4th elections, a new poll by Ipsos Synovate has shown that the Jubilee alliance flag bearer Uhuru Kenyatta has overtaken CORD’s Raila Odinga in terms of popularity with the electorate.
According to the poll, if elections were held today Uhuru
would win with 44.8% of the vote while Raila would follow closely behind with
44.4% of the vote.
This latest poll,
besides resting the argument about whether or not there will be a runoff, gives
credence to the belief that a win in the March 4th election could be
as slim as less than half a million votes.
The Ipsos poll also shows that the rest of the competition
is trailing Uhuru and Raila by quite a distance. Musalia Mudavadi leads this
chasing pack with followed by Peter Kenneth with 1.6%.
In terms of coalitions, Jubilee leads with Jubilee 45.1%
followed by CORD with 44%.
The poll also shows that the ICC question is the biggest
factor preventing Kenyans from voting for Uhuru with 56% of Kenyans saying that
they don’t think he and his running mate William Ruto can run the country
effectively while still having to attend trail sessions at the Hague.
On the same issue, 48% of Kenyans say that statements by
foreign diplomats on Uhuru and Ruto could sway the elections.
