POLITICS in Nyanza …. Police warned against CAMPAIGNING for UHURU/ RUTO

Police officers in Nyanza have been warned against playing politics in the March 4th general elections. This follows recent allegations by CORD alliance about the Provincial administration being used to campaign for UHURU/RUTO around the country.

Speaking during a one-day seminar for security officers from Central Nyanza and the IEBC officials, Nyanza Provincial Commissioner Mr. Francis Mutie cautioned all the security officers in the region against taking sides in the political arena saying the government will not condone it and that disciplinary action will be taken against such officers.

Mutie reminded the officers about their professional guideline which makes it clear for the officers to remain non-partisan in politics. He also put on notice politician who are using money to compromise security in the region that they will be dealt with firmly citing the chaos that occurred in Homa Bay during a CORD rally last week.
