KIBAKI urges Kenyans to keep PEACE before and after the MONDAY ELECTIONS


  President Mwai Kibaki has urged Kenyans to maintain peace during and after the Monday’s general election.

In a televised address to the nation on Friday, Kibaki who looked focused and strong, urged Kenyans to send a message to the world that our democracy has come of age by voting in peace.

He said in every election there must be a winner and loser, urging losers to embrace winners.
The Head of State, who was addressing the nation in his last days, said his Goveernment has put enough measures to ensure Kenyans get a peaceful and democratic poll.

Kibaki, who has served two terms as President, advised Kenyans to turn up in large numbers and vote in peace.

“By embracing peace we protect our homeland of Kenya. I wish you all best of success. Monday 4th is your day of destiny,” Kibaki said.
