We will not vote for ODM, residents
Residents of Nakuru town West have vowed not to vote for ODM if the party fails to declare Samuel Arama the winner of the just concluded nominations where the aspirant was contesting for the MP seat.
The angry supporters said that ODM issued a nomination certificate to another candidate who was defeated by Arama.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday afternoon, the supporters regretted that ODM did not take the nominations seriously saying that the party risked losing votes in Nakuru West.
Arama supporters demanded that the matter be rectified by the CORD Alliance saying they were not ready to work with any imposed leader to them.
“We know Arama worn the recent nominations and he was even declared the winner but now the ODM offices in Nairobi are reluctant to issue of the certificate,” one supporter noted.
The supporters pointed out that the other candidate had even accepted defeat and they were in shock to hear he had been granted the nomination certificate.
In a quick rejoinder, the ODM chairman Nakuru branch Peter Ole Sono issued a press statement saying the mater will be looked into it.
Ole sono further said ODM nominations were done in a free and fair manner and that any scenario that may arise will be resolved by the party.
He also reiterated that ODM was the most popular party and that CORD Alliance will be forming the next government.
