RAILA still leading as UHURU closes the gap and there will be A RUN OFF - Synovate poll


  According to a recent survey done by Ipsos Synovate Company, Prime Minister Raila Odinga is still the man to beat if elections are held today.

Raila garnered 46 percent against Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s 40 percent. Musalia Mudavadi came third with 5 percent, Martha Karua 1 percent and Peter Kenneth 1 percent. This indicates that there will be a run-off after the March 4th general election since no presidential candidate who has reached 50+1 percent of the tallied votes.

On the alliances popularity, Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) still came on top with 43 percent against Uhuru’s Jubilee with 40 percent, Amani coalition 4 percent and Eagles alliance 1 percent.

Uhuru popularity rose from 26 percent to 40 percent while Raila’s popularity rose from 34 percent to 46 percent.
